From the previous thread: I don’t see Olivia Rodrigo winning Album of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Be realistic Livies.
September 27, 2026 at 6:23 pm #1206557943Madonna wins Best Dance for the ‘Confessions II’ film at the #VMAs.
Madonna’s at three. I wonder if she’s featuring the VMAs as a big part of her campaigning and planning to do more from now on. They’re definitely recognizing her legacy.
September 27, 2026 at 6:42 pm #1206557947#VMAs Best New Artist Winner: SIENNA SPIRO
they awarded sienna spiro (Bella Kay, Cortis, Sienna Spiro, Magnus Ferrell, Malcolm Todd, Myles Smith, Stella Lefty were the other nominees so this feels expected)
September 27, 2026 at 6:49 pm #1206557959Responding to a comment in the previous thread regarding Rodrigo vs. Dean —
I just don’t see Dean’s album making a lot of noise, and it’s clear that Rodrigo is being positioned as a new “it” girl. I looked over the description of her second Grammy Museum exhibit and once I saw that it highlights the Daisy Chain festival, it was clear to me that her people are very serious about trying to win big. The awards aren’t just about the music, and outside factors are weighed when deciding winners.
Her other Grammy Museum exhibit focused on The Cure, which suggests her people are considering that song for their submissions. It’s got no chance of winning ROTY against Choosin’ Texas, but it might have a good shot in the more songwriting-focused SOTY category.
After spending nearly half a year at #1 on the US Billboard charts, Choosin’ Texas is bound to win either ROTY or SOTY, as well as all the country nominations it gets. Madonna is sure to win all the dance pop categories.

well, it is an expensive video.
edit: oh and she’s also got the most wins in history, and extends that record with six wins. wow. i wouldn’t have awarded fortnight but i don’t remember the other contenders that year

oh dear. well it is an expensive video
The Grammys, it’s about damn time to give Taylor all the Grammys she deserved for The Fate of Ophelia come February 2027.

We Can’t Be Friends deserved it imo
September 27, 2026 at 7:23 pm #1206557996oh wow. they just ended the vmas without announcing song of the year, summer, or best album.
We Can’t Be Friends deserved it imo
oh. yeah if that was up in contention, then i’d go with WCBF. sad it lost then, it was such a pretty music video even if i never could get into the song. fortnight just didn’t have much going for it.

I am not even a “livie” but all of this is extremely possible. idc what ya’ll say, she is so obviously in the lead for AOTY right now.
its still
aoty- rodrigo
soty- bruno
roty- dean or rayebruno and rodrigo could also swap places, but this feels likely.
September 27, 2026 at 7:29 pm #1206558006lose control got no love, ordinary got no love, and choosing Texas will also get no love. I need everyone to get serious.
September 27, 2026 at 7:30 pm #1206558007Let’s not get carried away. Winning Video of the Year hasn’t meant a GF win in 16 years, so don’t let the excitement cloud your judgment. Dean and Rodrigo have this one, and it’s theirs to lose.
September 27, 2026 at 7:33 pm #1206558010The VMAs are dead. Barely any of the nominees showed up and they really only aired six awards. That’s so ridiculous.
