Sydney houses now cost twice as much as units after hitting a new high in the December quarter, making it tougher for unit owners to upgrade to a detached home, Domain data shows.
Sydney house prices increased by 2 per cent in the final three months of the year, lifting the median to $1,595,310 and eclipsing the previous peak recorded in March 2022.
