The guys of One Direction have been involved with charity work since the very beginning, and now they want to take it to the next level.
The band released a new video Wednesday (June 8) announcing a new campaign, #Action1D, encouraging their fans to let them know what kind of causes are important to them, and what charities should get some extra attention.

A press release sent to fans says, in part, “One Direction has teamed up with Action 2015 to help bring about global change and make a difference in tackling some of the world’s most pressing issues. Would you like to see a world without poverty? Or see more efforts to tackle climate change? Whatever your vision, the guys want to know. Over the next few months, the band will be leading the initiative to get our voices heard on a global scale.”
Already on their site are tons of fan videos with individuals talking about their hopes for a better tomorrow. Here’s hoping that in addition to funds and attention going to worthy charities, the band’s new initiative leads to something like this.
