ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Janesville City Council approved a development agreement that would bring a distribution center for Dollar General to town, creating more than 500 jobs.
Council members also approved applying for a grant from the state Department of Transportation to help pay for road work to make the project a reality.
Janesville's Economic Development director says the city still needs to approve construction plans and after that happens, work could begin by the beginning of October.
