Glide into a pair of skis, grab some poles and push off to see some of the most breathtaking sights in Alaska along the 25K, 40K or 50K routes, which make up the Tour of Anchorage. Designed for all abilities, this point-to-point amateur ski marathon is part of the American Ski Marathon Series, North America’s longest running and largest citizen’s racing and touring series. It's an annual tradition for nordic skiers. Whether you’re a beginner, weekend warrior, casual tourer or professional racer, every ASM event offers a thrilling chance to be part of a nationwide series of adventure, winter festivals and fun.

The 2016 race takes place Sunday, March 6. The 40K and 50K races begin at Service High, and the 25K takes off from the campus of Alaska Pacific University. All races end in Kincaid Park.

Race Information

Organized locally by the Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage, the Tour of Anchorage marathon consists of four cross country ski races – a 25 kilometer classical race and 25K, 40K and 50K freestyle races. The course begins at various locations across Anchorage, follows groomed trails through spectacular wooded settings, along the coast of Cook Inlet, and finishes up at Kincaid Park.
