UCD Water Tower
This 197 ft. (60m) tower was built in the late 1970s to provide constant water pressure to all the buildings in UCD.
Made of reinforced concrete the stem is pentagonal and the tank is in the form of a duodecahedron. Architects for the project were A & D Wejchert.
John Paul Construction erected this geometrically precise and awkward-to-manoeuvre juggernaut, assisted by structural engineers, Thomas Garland & Partners
