Harley-Davidson is bringing in Aerosmith and country star Toby Keith to celebrate its 110th anniversary at the Summerfest grounds Labor Day weekend.
Keith will kick off the festivities at the Marcus Amphitheater on Aug. 29, followed by Aerosmith Aug. 30.
The three-day festivities end with Kid Rock closing his summer tour with an amphitheater headlining show Aug. 31.
Both Aerosmith - led by one of rock's most recognizable frontmen, Steven Tyler - and Keith have played the amphitheater in recent years for Summerfest.
"Tyler is still the swaggering hard-rock pirate, wielding the mic stand at a rakish angle, bending far over to scream the high notes and whipping that long mane of now-gray-streaked brown hair," Journal Sentinel contributor Dave Tianen wrote in his review of Aerosmith's Summerfest show July 7. Last fall, the band released "Music From Another Dimension!," its first studio album in eight years.
Keith, the 10th-highest grossing musician of 2012 according to Forbes, also released an album last fall, "Hope on the Rocks."His last Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest appearance was 2011, during which a music video for Keith's song "Made in America" was shot.
Tickets for both shows, as well as Kid Rock's, go on sale at 8 a.m. May 6 at h-d.com/110tickets . Prices for the individual shows have yet to be disclosed.
Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson has indicated that more than 60 acts will perform at its 110th anniversary celebration. Last week, the company released a list of 28 of those bands, ranging from ZZ Top to Lupe Fiasco to local band Whiskey of the Damned.
Admission to the Summerfest grounds stages for the three-day celebration runs from $95 to $102.50.
