Copa, AviancaTaca join Star Alliance

AviancaTaca and Copa Airlines—with subsidiary Copa Colombia—became Star Alliance members Thursday (ATW Daily News, Nov. 22, 2011).

Star CEO Mark Schwab said the addition of the new airlines “strengthens our presence in the rapidly growing Latin American market. Our customers now enjoy increased connectivity across the Americas by connecting through five new Star Alliance hubs right in the middle of the American continent."
