x86-64 kernel paper and talk at OLS 2001

[Andi Kleen]

I will be giving a talk about porting the linux kernel to x86-64 at this
year's Ottawa Linux Symposium (http://www.linuxsymposium.org) Jul 25.-28.
in Ottawa, Canada.

The paper is already available at ftp://ftp.firstfloor.org/pub/ak/x86-64.ps.gz
or ftp://ftp.firstfloor.org/pub/ak/x86-64.pdf [1]
It contains a short introduction to the x86-64 architecture and gives
an overview of the changes done to the linux kernel for the port and
explains some design decisions.
