Formed in 1956 by the Calgary City Police as the Calgary Schools Safety Patrol Band, responsibility for the band was taken over by the parents in 1979 and renamed the Calgary Round-Up Band.  For almost fifty years the Calgary Round-Up Band has provided excellent opportunities for young people to perform, travel and represent their city in places around the country and the world.  The Round-Up Band is for youths of Junior High School age and is the official feeder into the Calgary Stetson's Show Band.
