📊 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We recently launched our report, Economy 2030: An agenda for tech-enabled growth. It shows how technology can help get the UK's economy growing again. 📈 Over the coming weeks, we will look at each of the report's levers of tech-enabled growth. This week we focus on 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, in a chapter written by Be the Business 💡 Government analysis suggests that adopting emerging technologies could add £𝟮𝟮𝟯 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 to real GDP by 2035. There is huge economic potential, but to achieve this, the UK must help businesses go beyond trying out new tech and embed it in how they work, with joined-up support that starts from real business problems 🔧 👉 Swipe through the carousel below for more on Be the Business' recommendations. 🔗 Find out more and read the full report via the link: https://lnkd.in/eRC7imDW 📅 Want to know how the UK can deliver economic growth in every part of the country? Join us at techUK's UK 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in Manchester on 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿. We'll bring together national, devolved and local leaders, industry, and policymakers to discuss how tech can drive growth for people and places across the UK 🌍 Registration link in the comments 👇 #Economy2030 #TechAdoption #DigitalEconomy #Growth #Productivity

  • Last night was techUK’s 5th and largest Cyber Security Dinner, bringing together nearly 250 attendees from across academia, public and private sectors. It’s no surprise that the UK faces significant challenges in the cyber domain be they state actors or criminal gangs, and we’re not facing 4 “nationally significant” cyber attacks every week. At the same time of course, AI is transforming the cyber security realm; both for good and ill. It was therefore timely to hear from National Cyber Security Centre CEO Richard Horne about how public and private sector already works together and how we can both improve that collaboration. Julian David OBE talked in depth about the need to bring continued skills and talent into the sector and our own commitment ensuring this pipeline matches the demand that we see across the economy. And last but not least it was fantastic to celebrate the Cyber Innovation Den winner Cavero Secure represented by Ben Varcoe. Thanks as ever to our members, stakeholder and public sector colleagues who gave up their evening to attend and participate - and of course to the great techUK team that makes them possible.
