This perfectly captures the thoughts I’ve been having about tech conferences. For me, the main dive has always been to go somewhere with the team - and the biggest takeaway has always been team bonding. The conferences always feel more like an excuse to go somewhere.

first the attendee side - what is compelling about a conf? the primary driver is getting to go to a different place to hang out with some people you have something in common with
but this isn't so
I really want to like @tan_stack - But the complexity of the packages, coupled with sudden or undocumented changes, makes it really scary to use as the base for a product. E.g. my Zod schemas were failing after updating to the latest version.
