I have been using MS Office for decades, and tried LibreOffice for years. Recently, I tried ONLYOFFICE desktop applications for basic documents/sheets, and I find it a fantastic option and it is for free!
5 parts of any #programming language to pick up:
* Syntax (read and write the language)
* Semantics (types and evaluations)
* Idioms (patterns and best-practices)
* Libraries (stands on others' shoulders)
* Tools (out of the language but facilitate its use)
Some unusual syntax in #SML#programming:
* You don't use '-' for negative sign, instead '~'
* It is 'andalso' and 'oralso' instead of 'and', 'or', '&&' ..etc
* You cannot use '=' with Real (float) type
* It is '<>' instead of '!='
there must be more of these ....
