Anyone know what went wrong with SOFIA? It made it just 12 of a 20 year planned life (and NASA wanted to kill it earlier). But KAO lasted 20! I assume something didn’t work right. Were the vibe predictions wrong so the resolution was reduced? Anybody know what went wrong?
