Indigo’s direct flight to Pune from Oct 25

Bhubaneswar: IndiGo Airline will operate a direct flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport here to Pune from Oct 25. Airline sources said the carrier will offer daily flights on this route using its Airbus A320 aircraft. With the addition of Pune, IndiGo has flights to 15 destinations from the city.

With IndiGo’s flight to Pune, the destination gets two flights from here, the other being an Air India Express flight. In the winter schedule, except for the addition of one flight to Pune, domestic flights to other destinations that were dropped from the roster in summer have not been restored, airport sources said.

The total number of destinations had dropped from 30 to 19 in the summer. Now, with Jharsuguda and Dubai resuming operations, 21 destinations are now connected, with one being an international location.
