No bird, whose patience rarely flaunts,
delights in a cage to slowly bide;
their flight, whose feathers do rarely recall,
awaits the battlement to gracefully fall.
A wholesome flower prevails in truth,
as summer's veil beckons their youth;
no bird, whose callings scarcely ... continue reading
For pleasure first,
the anodynes break
this deadened heart;
now pastures sleep!
Anew in pleasure,
no queries beset
this addled mind;
aloft in peace!
Regaling pleasure,
this mumbling pride,
to fleeting ears;
I'm all but sleep!
For pleasure first, ... continue reading
Untroubled in his abode,
the wheel knows not of innocence;
no altruism did creep,
or water seep,
in the shallows of his sleep.
Tied upon the mast,
his heart has all but left,
and further does the coastline seem,
as oceans beget his past.
Untroubled in his abode, ... continue reading
Would I suit your gentle ear?
my voice is all you may hear!
how the axe did cut the tone
is where I remain, standing alone.
So friable in this desperate land,
my heart did turn to sand,
and what did come is a listening knight ...
so would I suit your gentle ear?
At his behest,
with little protest,
they did invest
in faithless tests.
At his contest,
with weary guests,
they did request
an earnest quest.
At his address,
with addled pests,
they did arrest
and free the best.
At his recess,
with little prospect,
they built a ... continue reading
Unwillingly, to himself, addressed
his masters high demands;
within the saddle, he did retest
a trail he had yet to command!
Open wounds did flow his pride;
a freshly scented curse!
now warders hold those souls at bay,
as crimson red divides.
Unwillingly, on ... continue reading
Fire, dire, learning light,
catch the forest in the early night;
eternal embers hands the eye
a fallen star, in wistful fights!
Flyer, higher, yearning knight,
catch the feathers in the flailing plight;
embittered flowers cast a hand
on failing hearts, in whimsical bites!

And said I that my heart is cold,
and said I that my voice is old,
as earnest fires all but die;
this path is bare in recreant proof.
And said I that my soul is dead,
and said I that my mind is dread,
as hawthorns pierce the final beats;
this garden is replete with ... continue reading
Beneath the leaves
the soil believes
this world still greaves
for clouded thieves.
Of what they achieved,
we can but weave?
as oceans deceive
the shores of leaves.
Beneath the leaves
the stone conceives
a rose in eve;
shall we believe?
Warm with sun
in this dying room;
ferns cling to hopeful clouds
that speak in tongues
from a quite doom;
mocking thee! taunting thee!
Distance wrinkles show their face
in lines I cannot retrace;
and of morrows tempest?
the woodpeckers sing,
yet thier ... continue reading
Author Notes: This poem is a reflection on healing, hope, and finding strength after difficult moments. It explores the quiet journey of accepting pain while learning to believe in brighter days ahead. I hope readers can find a little comfort and hope within these words.
A Quiet Place
I found a quiet place inside my mind,
Where broken thoughts could rest,
Where every wound I tried to hide
Could finally breathe its best.
The moon looked down with gentle eyes,
The stars were soft and bright,
And for a moment, all my fears
Were swallowed by the night.

I came upon a journey,
but I couldn't tell you where;
I've tried in vain to remember,
but all I see is despair!
I've slept through many a night
hoping the dream would come,
yet further did I fall,
and all that remained is scared ...
I came upon a ... continue reading
It came upon the high tide,
here, we've nowhere to hide;
now afar, on the other side,
rests an ocean so short of lies!
Poseidon dreams upon the storm
we've begat from stolen trees;
what it leaves?
we cannot believe!
... as frozen is the forgotten truth ...
Love did never consume me,
nor take its toll on time;
Her flowers bloomed in gentle winds
that yearned for me to begin!
My love did scream in glee!
yet scream of me in greed?
My ghastly fears prevail,
with tears,
as my heart does longingly dream ...
