Goodbye Kiss: Young & Restless Exit Turns All That Buildup Into a Letdown

Just when things got a bit more interesting for Stephanie on The Young and the Restless, viewers will be seeing a little less of her portrayer in the near future. Those tuning in to the Monday, September 7th episode got their first glimpse of that kiss between Stephanie and Nate after she got him settled in back at the penthouse following his surgery. And though many fans are left wanting more, any plans for a full-blown relationship will have to be put, well, on the backburner.

Vivica A. Fox will be stepping away from the CBS soap for a bit to film Women Like Us, as reported by Soap Opera Digest. The upcoming Netflix comedy will also star Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis and Vanessa Williams and will follow what goes down when a recently widowed woman is dragged away by her lifelong best friends on a trip to the Hamptons to celebrate what would have been her 30th wedding anniversary. During the weekend, they are forced to face the grief and reflect on the sisterhood that’s embraced them over the years and, in the end, it becomes apparent that dreams don’t have an expiration date.

Fox had shared a photo from the soap’s hair and makeup room on her official Instagram stories and stated, “Until next time, Young & Restless family,” then thanked everyone for their love and support.
