As Beyond the Gates’ Hayley Says a Final Farewell to Bill, Is Marquita Goings Really… Gone?
Fans feared it would be a good news/bad news scenario when at long last, Beyond the Gates’ Hayley was busted. After months of using her cleavage as a convenient place to store the poison she’d been slipping hubby Bill, the vixen was finally busted… and by nemesis Dani, no less! What followed were several days of intense drama which left viewers wondering how the heck Hayley would slink her way outta this one!
Sure enough, slink she did! In the episode airing on Monday, September 28 (recapped in full here), Hayley confessed all of her sins — from seducing Bill to faking a pregnancy — as portrayer Marqita Goings delivered one wickedly fun performance after another. When finally Hayley was ready to exit stage left, she made it clear her next stop would not be prison. In fact, the bitchy baddie demanded a whole lotta cash and a Get Out Of Jail Free card from Bill… unless he wanted her to expose the truth about what happened to Martin and Vernon the night they crossed paths with two violent racists.

Given that Bill helped cover the truth, it would send him to prison along with Martin, Vernon and potentially others (including Joey and Marcel). Rather than let that happen, Bill agreed to get the charges dropped, but on a condition of his own: That Hayley pack her bikini and get outta the DMV. Happily, she agreed, planning to hit the beach and live out her life in luxury (no doubt while seeking out another mark!)
So does this mean that Goings is going to be leaving Beyond the Gates? Come on, now, do you really think the show would let such a delicious villainess simply waltz off into the sunset without paying the piper? Think again! This week, Hayley will find herself having numerous run-ins, including one with Chelsea that promises to get physical! Bill’s trusted associate Caroline will have something to say to her former co-worker as well.
As for what happens next, those details are being kept under wraps. There are, however, lingering questions. As Goings told TVInsider, one of those involves what price Hayley will have to pay for Leslie having bailed her out. What, the actress wondered in character, is Leslie “going to want or need from me? What comes with Leslie bailing [me] out?”’
While Goings remained quiet about Hayley’s ultimate fate, she did drop a few tidbits which indicate the troublemaker has not whipped up her last plot. “I don’t want to give [anything] away,” she said, “but I would just hang tight. I love the twists and turns that the writers have written.”
And then, she says the words that every person who loves to hate Hayley is hoping to hear: “There’s more to come!”
