Game on: Apps for tickets to sporting events

Whether you’re looking for last-minute seats for the big game or to unload extra tickets, these apps are a home run. And with verified purchases, there’s no need to worry about foul play.

Buy baseball, basketball, and hockey tickets from the minute they go on sale right up to the start of the game. You can also list your own seats for sale, let your friends know which events you’re attending, and access features like virtual venue maps and a barcode scanning tool. Pro tip: Keep an eye out for last-minute price drops and sections that open up unexpectedly.

Search for seats and find last-minute deals up to 90 minutes after games or performances have started. Or list tickets to sell with just a few taps, get text updates as soon as they’re purchased, and get your money either via PayPal or as Gametime credit. You can even snap a shot of your paper tickets and sell them digitally.

With a handy feature alerting users about new and recently discounted seats, SeatGeek helps you score tickets for football, basketball, hockey, baseball, and soccer games. Transfer your tickets to friends or check in at the venue with your device. If you’re unable to attend, get smart recommendations on how much to sell your seats for.
