MISSOULA, Mont. — A letter from the president of Montana Rail Link to employees states the company has been sold to BNSF Railway.

Our news partner, KGVO, got a copy of the letter Monday.

In it, MRL President Derek Ollman tells workers MRL decided to conclude its long-term lease with BNSF. He writes BNSF will take over operations and maintenance of MRL.
