While the Chinese have had butler bots for seemingly ages now, the Americans are giving them kadi takkar with the world’s richest billionaire on the forefront.
Elon Musk beamingly tweeted one of the Tesla humanoids serving popcorn to diners at the newly unveiled Hollywood Diner and Drive In, in LA. Located in Santa Monica Boulevard, the futuristic diner indulges visitors with the usual classics like burgers, milkshakes, hot dogs etc which are delivered in boxes manufactured like Cybertrucks. The diner’s main attraction is a 45-foot movie screening.
Is deploying a Tesla humanoid at the diner a mere gimmick? “This will become normal in a few years,” the Tesla boss quipped.

Reactions poured in, with netizens dropping Terminator memes and their skepticism in general.
One user jibed, “It's slow as hell and dropped a bunch of popcorn on the ground. Total failure.” “Electric State in making,” remarked one. “I hope they have good security there because humans are still humans,” a third user wrote. A fourth user online remarked, “Why does a machine that automatically serves popcorn have to be in a shape of a human? Seems like the most inefficient shape to serve popcorn.”
“Woah, a teleoperated robot by the guy sitting in an inside office. Woopie,” yet another skeptic commented. “It’s void and creepy. We’re humans. The best things in life are not things,” declared one user, while another lamented, “Yay! Jobs lost and more basic human interaction gone! Hooray!”
