Allow user to choose directory from remote server, so local <=> remote diff becomes possible. ability to compare Remote <=> Remote would be also nice to have.
Why is this useful?
Adding possibility to diff local folder with remote server is very useful in testing and code deployment.
Alternatives considered
Right now, only way of doing this is by using sshfs, which is not trivial to setup on Mac, because of locked 3rd party kernel extensions. visualdiffer is also not used to filesystems with large io latency, so it takes long time to scan relatively small directory trees. Native implementation could optimize around that.
