After the notification sound starts playing, it cannot be turned off like an alarm clock. Without stopping or pausing, the entire sound has to play through. Once the reminder purpose is achieved, is it possible to stop the sound?

Hi! You can turn off the looping feature of a Music reminder by tapping it in the edit screen. You can also create another step without a reminder, so you can move on to it after achieving something.

Do you mean I can only turn off the ringtone, or can I set it to something else?

In the timer edit screen, you can delete a reminder, like Music, from the menu after tapping it. You can also add an extra step as a resting phase.
