To avoid further issues between the Spree API and the way Angular handles requests on the checkout process, shipment splitting should be disabled on the e-commerce framework level.
Are we 100% we dont want to support split shipments? Its not too hard to do, and if a particular site doesnt use it, they can disable it in config/initializers/spree.rb
