Become a sponsor to RaspAP

RaspAP was developed for several years under a sponsorware release model, where new features landed first in a private edition called Insiders, and merged into the public repo once a funding goal was met. That model was a resounding success. Every feature it funded is now part of RaspAP, freely available to everyone, forever.

What changed

All formerly Insiders-exclusive features have been merged into the public RaspAP repository. There's no more private fork, and no feature is waiting on a funding target. New features are now built straight into the main repo, the same way bug fixes always have been.

Features developed through Sponsors

Insiders, now Sponsors, were instrumental in funding the development of features that span the entire RaspAP application; from the Tailscale plugin, wireless LAN routing, Wireshark, custom user avatars, network device management and much more.

How to support RaspAP

Sponsorship is now voluntary. There's no tier tied to a feature and nothing to unlock โ€” it's simply a way to support ongoing development and maintenance if RaspAP has been useful to you. You can sponsor at any level through GitHub Sponsors.

โ„น๏ธ Important: If you're sponsoring RaspAP through a GitHub organization, please send a short email to sponsors@raspap.com with the name of your organization and the account that should be credited.

The Lounge

The Lounge

The private Insiders repository hasn't gone away โ€” its purpose has changed. It's now the Lounge: a space for sponsors past, present, and future to talk with the RaspAP team directly, see roadmap discussions and UI mockups early, and weigh in before things go public. It's less about access to code now and more about staying close to the project.

Current and former Insiders sponsors keep their access automatically. If you're an educator or believe you've missed your spot in the Lounge, you can request access at sponsors@raspap.com.

Quarterly giving

Each quarter, 20% of all sponsorship proceeds are donated directly to the Raspberry Pi Foundation โ€” up from 15%, effective with this transition. The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK-based charity that works to put the power of computing and digital making into the hands of people all over the world.

Get involved with the Raspberry Pi Foundation

Sponsoring RaspAP has always done double duty by supporting development here, and helping inspire the next generation of makers through the Foundation's work.
