Another way to structure a library is to use the so called src layout in which case mypackage will be contained within the src folder and there will be no folder called mypackage in the root of the repo. A good reason for using this approach is that if you run your tests from the root the project then you can be sure that you are testing the installed version of the package and not the version in the working directory.
