Trying to install/merge python.NET to visual studio but I am getting error 'CS0234 The type or namespace name 'Runtime' does not exist in the namespace 'Python'' #2122

Hi guys,

I am a student trying to create a WPF app, I have created my visualizations and now I wish to gather some information online using python and then display it in the app.

So to do this I am trying to install/merge (I am not too sure on the terminology for this) python.NET into my visual studio.

I have watched some tutorials and tried a few times now and I keep getting the error

Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State
Error CS0234 The type or namespace name 'Runtime' does not exist in the namespace 'Python' (are you missing an assembly reference?) Python.PerformanceTests C:\Users\james\Source\Repos\pythonnet\src\perf_tests\BaselineComparisonBenchmarkBase.cs 7 Active

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you
