Description
The library logs "Unknown kind: cocoa_camera_v2" for my Ring Outdoor Cam Plus.
The device is correctly recognized and named in the official Ring app, but
cocoa_camera_v2 is not present in ring_doorbell/const.py.
Looking at the current kind lists, only the previous generation is defined:
STICKUP_CAM_GEN3_KINDS = ["cocoa_camera"]
cocoa_camera_v2 appears to be a newer hardware revision (mine was
registered/added to my account in December 2025) and should presumably be
added to STICKUP_CAM_GEN3_KINDS, or as a new kind list if it differs
enough from the existing cocoa_camera devices.
Environment
- ring-doorbell version: 0.9.14
- Home Assistant version: 2026.8.2 (Home Assistant OS)
- Device: Ring Outdoor Cam Plus
- device_type / kind from API: cocoa_camera_v2
- Powered by: AC + battery (wired power detected, ext_power_state present)
Log output
Logger: ring_doorbell.stickup_cam
Source: components/ring/entity.py:182
Unknown kind: cocoa_camera_v2
Additional context
The camera otherwise works fine (live view, recordings, motion detection),
this seems to be purely a missing entry in the kind mapping.
