usb.core.USBError: [Errno 5] Input/Output Error` #630

Bug description

I am trying to configure a printer, however, everytime I try to print, I get the following error:

usb.core.USBError: [Errno 5] Input/Output Error

My code:

from escpos import *
p = printer.Usb(0x067b,0x2305)
p.text("Hello World\n")
p.cut()

I noted that while this printer has an USB connection, is detected by the OS as a parallel port device:

Can that be related?

I have:

• Checked permissions on udev
• Tried different initialization codes
• Restart hardware
