Checkboxes in menus could also be indeterminate (e.g. "Select all" checkboxes)

The API should probably be close/identical to CheckboxGroup's indeterminate checkbox: https://base-ui.com/react/components/checkbox-group#parent-checkbox

Examples in other libraries

This is supported in Radix UI: radix-ui/primitives#1624
