This repository is part of an Android project with multiple Android apps and JVM data parsers.

The main Android app has multiple Gradle modules organized around Git submodules.

Main repository mtransit-for-android builds run on the checkout branch for all submodules or fall back to their default branch. Submodule repository builds run on the main repository mtransit-for-android same branch name or fall back to their default branch. Other submodules repositories will use main repository mtransit-for-android checkout branch or fall back to their default branch.

The main git repositories with business logic are:

• https://github.com/mtransitapps/mtransit-for-android/: the main Android app
• https://github.com/mtransitapps/commons-android/: the shared Android library code between the main Android app and the other "agency modules" apps
• https://github.com/mtransitapps/parser/: the JVM data parsing code for GTFS-based "agency modules" (not GBFS-based)
• https://github.com/mtransitapps/commons-java/: the shared JVM code
• https://github.com/mtransitapps/commons/: the shared shells and automatic code

Most other git repositories are "agency modules" that contain configuration and data for transit agencies named like: xx-location-transit-agency-type-android (like ca-montreal-stm-bus-android).

Shared code and files are deployed/generated from:

• https://github.com/mtransitapps/commons/tree/master/shared-overwrite-all-repositories: code/files shared and persisted between all git repositories (root and submodules)
• https://github.com/mtransitapps/commons/tree/master/shared-main: code/files only used by the main root mtransit-for-android repository (but related to content inside commons repository)
• https://github.com/mtransitapps/commons/tree/master/shared-modules: code/files only used by the "agency modules" repositories
• https://github.com/mtransitapps/commons/tree/master/shared-opt-dir: code/files only shared by some root repositories (not submodules) (depending on existing directory existence)
