>>> arr = ndtest(10)
>>> arr['a0:a2,a4,a6:a8']
ValueError: a0:a2,a4,a6:a8 is not a valid label for any axis

This works for .. but not for :

>>> arr['a0..a2,a4,a6..a8']
a  a0  a1  a2  a4  a6  a7  a8
    0   1   2   4   6   7   8
