Copyright notices across both lines carry years that are out of date (mostly 2015 in 2.x, 2025 in 3.x; the readmes say 2026).
Decision: drop the year from all notices, e.g. Copyright (c) Jo Rabin. A year isn't required, and keeping an accurate year of first publication per file (through renames and moves) isn't worth the effort.
Scope (files mentioning "copyright"):
- 2.x (
develop): ~123 Java files, 10 poms, 4 XSDs, 1 SVG (module structure diagram)
- 3.x (
v3-develop): ~117 Java files, 18 poms, 4 XSDs, 3 SVGs (ModuleStructure, DatabaseStructure, KdbxDiagram), the test module's META-INF/services file
- The readmes on all four branches (
master, develop, v3-master, v3-develop)
Exclude KDBX.4.1.reichl.xsd in both lines: it is Dominik Reichl's official KDBX 4.1 schema and keeps his notice only. If an IDE copyright profile is used for the bulk change, exclude this file from it.
Do the code and resource changes on develop / v3-develop, not as a docs-only change on a master branch.
