Importing geopandas in ipython kills the kernel when done on Windows Server OS.
Doing the same thing in an environment with the same packages on Windows 11 works as expected.
Steps to reproduce
Install latest python, geopandas and ipython in a conda environment (v3.13.7, v1.1.1 and at time of writing:
conda create -n ipython-geopandas -y
conda activate ipython-geopandas
conda install python geopandas ipython -y
Run ipython and import geopandas:
ipython
[1]: import geopandas as gpd
Expected output
Geopandas imports as usual and I can keep using the ipython kernel.
Actual outcome
ipython dies withouth any error, even if --debug flag is set at startup of ipython.
Initially I encountered this in Spyder, so I've opened an issue there initially.
