Is there a way to BYO OAuth Access Token? #606
Description
I want to connect this MCP server to a Slack agent I am building, I plan on handling the OAuth process myself, and wanted to know if it is possible to pass an OAuth Access Token instead of asking each engineer to generate a PAT.
I am also tying to connect this to Github Enterprise Server.
I am looking for a similar solution as: https://github.com/sooperset/mcp-atlassian

You can use

I want to initialize the mcp server in a multi tenant setup, meaning each message will invoke the mcp server with a the user access token.
This MCP server will also be setup on a remote server.

If you create an oauth app or GitHub app, you would be able to do this in the standard way, once minted an oauth token will be accepted. We can't really offer support beyond our public documentation for doing this, however I believe it should work.

I can manage the oauth flow, I am just wondering how to pass the minted token in? Is there a specific env variable I could use?

The same one for the PAT. It should work the same. It just gets set as a bearer token.
