Title sanitization returns HTML entities in tool output #3214
GitHub MCP title fields can return HTML entity text instead of the original visible characters. For example, an issue titled [bug] can't add a connection to toolkits in desktop app was returned as [bug] can't add a connection to toolkits in desktop app.
This affects short metadata handled by the strict title sanitizer and is separate from Markdown body fidelity work in #3177.
Affected version
Not provided; reported against the current GitHub MCP service.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
Create or read an issue whose title contains an apostrophe, such as [bug] can't add a connection to toolkits in desktop app.
Retrieve the issue through the GitHub MCP server.
Observe that the returned title contains ' instead of '.
Expected vs actual behavior
Expected: the returned title preserves visible text as [bug] can't add a connection to toolkits in desktop app while remaining safe for tool consumers.
Actual: the returned title contains the encoded entity [bug] can't add a connection to toolkits in desktop app.
