    Closing: this is the codex/Copilot-adapter unsupported_custom_tool (exec vs apply_patch) failure tracked and already fixed in #66815 / PR #66179 (merged 2026-10-06T14:28 UTC). Verified via make recompile (no drift) and passing regression tests (TestCodexGitHubInferenceDisablesUnsupportedExecTool, TestCodexGitHubInferenceRejectsExecToolOverride, TestCodexGitHubDirectToolCatalogConfiguration). No post-fix run shows this error signature.
