#4247 was closed as completed, but the problem still occurs on v1.1.26 with a GHE.com (data residency) account as the only account with Copilot entitlement. The same symptom was reported in the last comment on #4247 (v1.1.24).
Environment
- Copilot app 1.1.26 (Windows x64)
- WSL distribution
Ubuntu
- Accounts in the app: GHE.com (
<tenant>.ghe.com, the only account with Copilot budget) plus github.com accounts without Copilot budget
- Inside WSL,
gh and git-credential-manager are signed in to all accounts
Steps
- Sign in to the app with the GHE.com account.
- Add the WSL
Ubuntu environment.
- Try to create a new project from a folder in WSL.
Actual
git error on host `wsl:Ubuntu`: list_workspace_directory failed on remote host: rpc error -32007: authentication required for https://api.<tenant>.ghe.com
Expected
The project is created and sessions run on the WSL host with the GHE.com account.
Workaround
None found. Sessions have to run on Windows against the \\wsl.localhost\... path, which breaks Git and Linux tooling from the agent.
