RFC: should docs.plus submit its connector to the Anthropic directory? #232

Should docs.plus submit its MCP connector to the Anthropic directory?

What is already true

• Reach does not depend on it. Settings > Connected apps has Add to Claude, which opens Claude's add-custom-connector dialog with docs.plus filled in.
• Any paid plan can submit. Publish to the directory says: "Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. Free accounts can't submit."
• An automatic scan lists a submission as a Community connector by default. Anthropic may escalate it to a Verified review (review criteria).
• Tool titles, hints and field-named errors shipped in c68d53947. Every tool has a title, readOnlyHint and destructiveHint, and read and write tools are separate.
• The privacy page has a "Connected AI apps" section. docs/mcp/README.md is the public setup guide.

What is still open

• The portal's Test & launch step asks us to confirm we ran every tool as a custom connector. Test the MCP connector in three AI apps, then finish its connect guide #357 covers that.
• Reviewers need test credentials for a fully populated account. docs.plus signs in with Google or an email link only, so this needs a ruling.
• Two tool hints need a ruling before the listing: openWorldHint on the read tools, and destructiveHint on post_chat_message.

Recommendation

Submit once #357's claude.ai section passes. A listing reaches people who browse the directory and never see our Settings page.

• A written decision on this issue: submit, or stay a custom connector.
