Whalecome to Docker!

Docker helps developers build, share, run, and verify applications anywhere β€” without tedious environment configuration or management. This GitHub organization is home to many of the open source tools that power the Docker experience.

Whether you're using Docker for local development, CI automation, or building secure software supply chains β€” we're glad you're here.

πŸ§ͺ Introducing Docker Sandboxes

Run agents safely, local to cloud. Docker Sandboxes (sbx) is a disposable, isolated environment where an agent works unattended β€” your host stays untouched. Claude Code, Codex, and your other agents run at full speed in MicroVM environments, each with its own kernel and its own private Docker Engine, on your machine or on Docker-managed cloud infrastructure β€” move a sandbox between the two with one command.

$ sbx --cloud run claude
$ sbx move my-project --to cloud

Sandbox Kits are declarative YAML applied at startup: they give an agent its tools, credentials, and network rules, or define a whole agent, without rebuilding the image. β†’ Read the spec
