on Feb 10, 2019 When done in top-level code, sizeof is 4 and not 8.
That's because the default gdb target architecture on x86_64 is i386. I wonder if it would be a better idea to determine the architecture earlier using information from kdumpfile.

With the following:
setup_ulong() never gets called. The goal was to determine a sizeof. When done in top-level code, sizeof is 4 and not 8.
