GitHub actually saves your selected clone tab (HTTPS, SSH, or GitHub CLI) in your browser’s local storage. When you click the GitHub CLI tab once in the green "Code" dropdown, GitHub remembers that preference for other repositories you open in that browser. If it keeps reverting back to SSH:

Everytime I clone, I have to switch from SSH to GH CLI.
I'd like to make GH CLI as the default. Is there a way to do that at all in Settings or anywhere?
I'd like maybe a checkbox on GH CLI itself or in Settings since I use GH CLI often over SSH now as it types out the full command rather than with SSH I have to enter myself "git clone "
