  1. website: redesign the theme in the style of the other books

Rebuild the moderncpp Hexo theme around the layout and type of
changkun.de/bobook, keeping the book's burgundy (#7e2d36) as the only
    accent on a white page.

    - Shell: a translucent fixed top bar (brand, chapter crumb, PDF,
language, GitHub), the book's contents on the left, the page's outline
on the right (built at build time with Hexo's toc helper, highlighted
on scroll), and a drawer with a scrim below 960px.
    - Type: Inter for text, JetBrains Mono (ligatures off) for code, loaded
without blocking first paint so readers who cannot reach Google Fonts
get the system faces at once. The Chinese edition keeps more leading
      and sets emphasis in weight.
    - Chapters: the label set above the title, "(since C++11)" notes as
tags, code blocks with a language label and a copy button, scrolling
tables, a prev/next pager and a footer with edit/issue links and
      urlstat's PV/UV.
    - Landing: a hero with a web-sized cover and the full table of
      contents as cards.
    - Code highlighting now emits plain <pre><code> with hljs-* classes.
    - Drop the unused Vue, Font Awesome, smooth-scroll and css.escape
scripts, the Stylus sources, and the menu and flag icons.

Old css/js files on the server are left in place and unreferenced; the
new ones carry a per-build version query.

  2. book: third edition, with a new cover computed from the book

The second edition (v2.0.0, 2019) ended at C++20; the book now runs to
C++26 with three appendices, so it becomes the third edition.

The new cover drops the 2019 artwork, whose subtitle still read
"C++11/14/17/20". It is drawn by assets/cover/render.mjs in the manner of
the Bayesian optimization book's: C++ as tree rings, a faint C++98 core
and a ring per year from 2011 to 2026, the six standard years carrying a
dot per feature that the Feature Index (appendix 3) lists for them, and
C++26, still an outlook, dashed in gold. Title and subtitle are set over
it in Source Serif 4 and Inter on the book's burgundy.

The script writes both editions' covers at the old size (2469 x 3237),
    the landing page's web copies, the top-bar logos, 1200 x 630 link
previews (now the og:image, instead of the portrait cover), and a new
favicon and touch icon, which were a broken crop of the old cover.

Covers move to edition-neutral names (cover-en.png, cover-zh.png); the
README, PDF template and EPUB build follow, and the website no longer
copies covers at build time. The old cover-2nd files and their Affinity
and Photoshop sources are left in assets/ untouched.

  3. book: bring the baboon back to the cover, on cloth

The third edition's first cover was all diagram. The baboon of the first
two editions returns, lifted from the old artwork onto transparency
(assets/cover/baboon.png) and stamped in cream, walking along the C++
timeline; the growth rings now rise behind it, masked by its silhouette
(computed at render time) so no line crosses the engraving.

The board reads as a physical object: a fine cloth weave, a hinge groove
beside the spine, and a foil-stamped title and edition with a slight
deboss. Covers, web copies, logos and link previews are re-rendered.
