Deprecation: Gson serialization for AWS SDK for Android clients #659

The AWS SDK for Android reached end of support on August 1, 2026. Invocations from this SDK are currently serialized with Gson, while every other caller, including Amplify Android, uses Jackson.

A future release of the runtime interface client will use Jackson for all invocations. Jackson can serialize some classes differently from Gson, so if your function is still invoked from the AWS SDK for Android, check that your handler's input and output types serialize as expected with Jackson before upgrading.
