The generated class will not compile. Actually it has only one problem: it tries to import Choice<?> instead of Choice.
But if i use an actual template parameter it gets worse. For example Choice<String>. In this case, not just the import goes wrong, but the also method call. The generated method call:
I just checked the snapshot, and unfortunately it seems to be broken. I got the following error message with @ItemClick, but @Bean also produced a similar one.
Actually, i made a little test project. Unfortunately, i deleted it. Now i recreated, but i cannot reproduce the issue. I think this bug can be closed now.
I checked this again, with two versions. With the brand new stable 3.0 and the latest 3.1-SNAPSHOT. Unfortunetaly i still got the same issue with both.
Actually, it got a little bit weirder... I did not get a compile error at all, but the class did not get generated because of this fatal exception. bin/androidannotations.log contains the information, but is this intentional? AA should definitely raise a compile error here, for example the developer can think that everything is OK, starts the app, and it crashes because the generated class does not exists.
Damn.. I'll check that ASAP.
I added a custom logger to write in a file AND show compilation warnings/errors. So, you should have been notified about this.
I'll keep you updated

Are you using the latest version (3.0-SNAPSHOT) or the 2.7.1 ?
This has been fixed by the PR #627 in the latest version.
WonderCsabo commentedon Sep 11, 2013
I'm using 2.7.1. I will try the SNAPSHOT and check.

In the meantime (and if you want to stay on 2.7.1), you can fix it with a little trick by using this king of class in your method signature :
Or you could also use the raw class :-)

I think you had another issue in your code which could messed up these ones. Could you confirm ?

OK, if you think i can assist you in any way feel free to contact me.

Ho. Got it for the silent exception... I made a small mistake in
Logger.error()call fromhandleException()method. I fixed it.About the exception itself, I'll debug this today.
DayS commentedon Dec 29, 2013
This should work now in 3.1-SNAPSHOT.
In the meantime you should use
<? extends Objects>or<Objet>instead of<?>.WonderCsabo commentedon Dec 29, 2013
I can confirm that this bug is finally solved using the latest SNAPSHOT build. Thanks! :)
