[Bug/Feature] Text Editor: Pattern editor does not allow saving newlines at the end of files. #2841

When saving a file that ends in a newline, the trailing newline is stripped.

Depending on the environment, this can be against style conventions. editorconfig is the generally accepted way to configure this, but if the configuration is not going to be considered, files should be left untrimmed.
