Pocketbyte Simulator

ko-fi

A desktop implementation of the Pocketbyte library that allows developers to test software without needing a DevKit.

It uses SDL2 under the hood, so please ensure that it is installed on your computer alongside a C compiler.

This simulator is not intended to replace the actual hardware or provide a polished way for users to share/run programs. It is simply a developer tool for those that want to write or port software to Pocketbyte, but do not yet have a DevKit.

Warning

This simulator is still in active development. It does not emulate the hardware, therefore true parity is not possible. Expect bugs.

Usage

You must build a binary using CMake for every app you want to test. (See CMakeLists.txt for more info)

Run scripts (run.sh, run.bat) are provided to automate this process. Simply CD into this directory and execute the script, passing the path of the desired app's source code folder.

E.g.: ./run.sh /path/to/app/folder
