well, which token exactly are you talking about? |

@akallabeth: Thank you for the reply. I am referring to the token received from Entra via the Microsoft Authentication Library (msal) on the Linux client (this is required for the workflow, for another use). Is there a way that xfreerdp can accept this token as a credential, create a connection to the AVD or Azure VM, and login the user to the remote desktop? If there are any other options to access the remote desktop using Azure Entra ID from the Linux pc, without the /p: switch, please let me know. Appreciate your help! |

if you are looking for an easy desktop GUI based alternative that works on top of FreeRDP I have built a client https://github.com/shakeelosmani/avd_feed_connect |

Hello, I have been looking for information on using xfreerdp to connect to AVD or Azure VM (Windows or Linux) using Azure Entra ID for authentication from a Linux python application using the auth tokens received from Entra ID and not the password - is it even possible?
I receive the token from Entra ID and few of the solutions mentioned about using /pth: but that does not seem to be supported.
If this is something that is doable - by passing the token as credentials or even by other methods, I would really appreciate if someone could give some direction on how this can be achieved.
