How to add custom decoder to DSView at MacOs #891

Open

Description

@tifoha

Hi!
I want to implement couple new decoders to parse messages for Crossfire and MavLink protocols which are using UART as base
but I don't know where to put them at macos.
Also it will be usefull to know how to debug them. I guess that there are some python running as a backend, so it will be usefull to know how to connect dubugger to it
thanks!

    There are two methods: 1. Compile it yourself and place the decoder in the decoders directory. The directory of the decoder can be seen from the logs; 2. Because the dmg package cannot be modified, it needs to be decompressed, copied to another folder, and then the decoder can be placed under decoders.

    Right click and view the content to display the files in the DMG package. Copy them to a directory to store your own files.

    Thanks @3hao-man ! Yeah I already did that with option 2, but it looks a bit clumsy, maybe there is more elegant way like set it up in some settings or with env variable?
