It would be great to have a bob/weave or hybrid/adaptive interlace handling in Amiberry. Pretty much all interlaced images on Amiga are static(-ish) title screens with maybe a scroll text.
Bob deinterlacing may be the sensible default, but there are also “motion adaptive” algorithms out there, so maybe that would be a better fit.
As some representative test cases I would propose:
- Alien Breed II title screen with scroll text
- Static images: Nah Color’s “Wild” (under the Demos → Slideshow category in AmigaVision) — the interlaced artwork shows up after the title screen saying “Wild”
- Torture test: the interlaced scroll text in the "Coda” demo by Abyss — under Demos → 1K-64K in AmigaVision
